Apartments Cologne presents: The Bootshaus Cologne

Electronic Dance Music was danced here in the same place in the old warehouse! the Bootshaus is located in our favorite district in Cologne-Deutz on the beautiful Mülheim harbor. The Bootshaus offers numerous dances, with a focus on electronic music, such as Dubstep, Trap, Techno or Electro House.

History of the Dance Temple

In 1991 the Techno movement started in the whole of Germany and among other things in the already mentioned "warehouse". The current Bootshaus is the successor of this old club, located in the already mentioned Deutzer shipyard at Mülheim harbor. Ulrich Rauschenberger and Sascha Weber organised the Loonyland party series , which reached a high profile.

In 2012 Fabian Thylmann bought the Bootshaus and is now registered as owner. Fabian Thylmann is a well-known German entrepreneur who made an incredible fortune on the internet. He put the money into numerous new ventures, such as the popular boathouse or a restaurant in Cologne. In addition, he runs a coworking property in Brussels and has among other things, companies in the field of medical cannabis or a yacht management. He lives in Brussels today.

Where is the Techno Club?

It is located on the Cologne shipyard grounds on the Rhine. How is the club divided, or what do the premises look like? There are three levels in the boathouse and an outdoor area that can be used in good weather. On the so-called Main floor over 1000 techno disciples can dance until the doctor arrives!

What music is in the club?

It's clearly the area techno and house and electro music that outweighs! But there are also events for fans of the music area Goa or Trance or Hardstyle. The music offer is usually offered as part of different party series. Well-known DJs who have already played in the club include: Skrillex, the Headhunterz, DJ SNAKE, Robin Schulz, Felix Jaehn, Armin van Buuren or the world-famous David Guetta.

The Festivals

The well-known DJ magazine chooses the Kölner boathouse in 2013 for the first time among the top 100 of the world's best clubs! It occupies the 48th place and has steadily increased since then! Thus one reached e.g. already ranked number 11 in 2018! In Germany, you even land in the public voting on number 1 and 8th place worldwide!

The Bootshaus is located in Köln-Deutz at Auenweg 173 . With a small walk you can even reach our apartments! Since there are numerous events taking place in the Bootshaus and the Bootshaus is also represented at other festivals, good planning and sound management are naturally required.
