In addition to the planned changes, attractions had to be rebuilt due to two fires. That major fire in 2001 caused property damage of 38 million marks, in which 70 people were slightly injured. In the course of this, the park underwent a general renovation and meticulous safety measures in fire protection were carried out. In 2006, the roller coaster Black Mamba was created, which was the first of its kind with rollovers in the park. The constant renovations paid off in 2013, when the park received the award for the best theme park with the best attractions in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. The latest change in the amusement park is the theme world Klugheim, which opened in summer 2016, with two new roller coasters.
