Wellness in Cologne-Deutz: The Claudius Therme

If you want to recover from your city trip, or if you just want to leave everyday life behind you, you will find a wonderful place in the Claudius Therme in Cologne . The thermal bath is located in the Rheinpark directly on the Rhine. The place is the perfect retreat for a few hours of relaxation and wellness . Prices in the spa

To book this beautiful thermal bath you can choose between different rates. Available are e.g. Hourly tickets with 2 or 4 hours or directly a day ticket. For only 5 € additional cost you can at their normal rate the sauna area with book. In our small table we want to present you the prices in the Claudius Therme .

On weekends, even on public holidays, the ticket price increases by 2 €. This is also the case if you want to pay with a voucher. Now you are probably wondering if you can book a savings tariff or similar. Unfortunately, this is not possible in the Claudia Spa, as there are no discounts for children students or students. Also, you should make sure during your visit not to cover the hour tickets. This is relatively expensive because you always have to pay the next higher tariff. One can only save a bit if you want to visit the Claudia Spa more often, and then just buy a subscription.

Also with public transport you can reach the spa well. From the Bahnhof Köln Messe Deutz you can take bus number 150 to the bus stop "Thermalbad".

All areas of the spa

The thermal bath has 3 floors. In the basement there is the entrance area, on the ground floor you will find the Rosenterrassen, the sauna village and the wonderful swimming area. High on the second floor is the gallery with the indoor sauna and the food court.

Under the motto "Datt Wasser von Kölle is joot", the thermal bath even has approved healing water . It has a positive effect on the heart and circulation, the joints and the intestine. The healing water is enriched with minerals and you can not only use it for swimming, but you can even drink it. In the spa there is a drinking fountain with this healing water. The largest pool in the spa is the so-called main pool, which even goes into the outdoor area. Inside there are various massage and bubble beds. Outside you can even find a flow channel. You should also visit the hot-cold grotto and in good weather, the sun terrace. Funnily, there is even a pool where you can listen to music under water.

The sauna landscape

There are three areas to be mentioned here: On the one hand the indoor sauna, which has a sauna bar, an herbal steam bath, finnish saunas or a panoramic sauna . There is also a so-called sauna village which is located on the ground floor. There is a Kelo sauna, an earth-wall sauna and a so-called Banja . There is also a terrace pool, a bedroom, the rose sauna, a suspended pool and various rest rooms. Floating in the suspended pool, the water has been provided with salt from the Dead Sea. Again, you have to pay 5 euros extra, if you want to use the suspended pool. The complete sauna area is textile-free for all visitors . If you leave the sauna area, you have to put on a bathrobe or use a towel to cover yourself. Of course you should also do this in the gastronomy area.

The spa area

Here, too, the Claudia spa can again score points, because Wellness & Beauty are very important here. At the cash desk you can book various wellness packages or treatment options. Also the day spa suites. After a wonderful massage or a great beauty treatment, they will be full of energy again.

Not suitable for children

This thermal bath is not suitable for children. Because the Claudiustherme wants to offer adults relaxation and rest . For this reason, children and adolescents under the age of 16 may only enter the thermal bath accompanied by an adult. As already explained above, but there are no children's tariffs or the like.
