Role Play Convention (RPC) Cologne
The Role Play Convention is a very large trade fair that takes place every year in the exhibition halls in Cologne Deutz and exhibits everything to do with fantasy and games. The organizer is Enjoy Event Markething GmbH.
History
There was such a fair for the first time in 2007 in Münster with around 12,000 "fantastic" visitors or guests. Next year there were already more than 23,000 and that is why the organizer describes the Fantasy Fair as the largest fair of its kind in all of Europe. Due to its size, the trade fair then looked for a new venue, which it found in the exhibition halls in Cologne-Deutz. The KölnMesse has the necessary space and has therefore always been chosen as the venue since 2009.

Theme of the fair
The Role Play Convention is open to both normal visitors and, of course, trade visitors. During the fair all news can be used ! And what can you see at the fair? Well, on the one hand, of course, the very popular visitors in the media and in the city of Cologne! Because they always come to the RPC in disguise! Hundreds of elves, samurais and zombies walk through the cathedral city on the weekend of the fair. Almost like at Carnival, only a little more exotic and almost better, since the visitors really try hard with their costumes and they really look very fantastic. And there we are already with the actual topic of the fair: you can paraphrase it with the word "fantastic". And it really includes all kinds of games from the world of fantasy .

Another great success in 2016
Because the trade fair hit like a bomb again this year and attracted thousands of visitors to the Rhine metropolis, the organizer has already announced that the next Role Play Convention will take place again in 2017 at the end of May. Hopefully not at the same time as the Ice Hockey World Championship , which will take place in Cologne and Paris from May 5th to 21st, 2017. Because then Cologne will burst at the seams!
