The first historical records of the district can be found under the name or the designation "Rumenthorp" and dates from 941. The town was later politically managed by the Brühl office in the then Electorate of Cologne. After being occupied by some French revolutionary groups and renamed "Mairie Rondorf", it then belonged to the canton of Brühl. In 1815 it was converted into the mayor's office of Rondorf and assigned to the district of Cologne.

The old ash place must give way

The old ash football field in Rondorf has to give way. It will be converted into building land and should now offer space for 27 single-family houses and another twelve double houses! Workers had discovered the bomb in the middle of the chemical company's premises and immediately informed the police. This initiated everything necessary. The aerial bomb was from World War II.

Christmas market in Rondorf
